Im back

Hello guys, I'm so sorry I haven't written anything in a while, I have been under so much exam pressure and I've recently moved house and it has all been a bit hectic but I am back now.

I will be writing one blog a week no matter what and this will start next week. I will probably upload a blog every Friday evening but may get more regular as time goes on. Again I am very sorry for not writing any blogs!!

Naked skin foundation update - my foundation is still going. I brought it 6 months ago!! It's absolutely amazing and definitely worth the money!

Kiko 603 Lipstick

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I have been so busy with work from college, but I'm going to get back into blogging now. I thought I would blog about a lipstick I have been LOVING recently and that's the Kiko 603 lipstick.

First of all how pretty is this packaging? I love rose gold and the fact the casing has rose gold on it was the first attraction for me! The rose gold is mixed with a metallic pink with the name of the brand written on the front and the number of the colour written on the bottom. I think the packaging is really simple yet really attractive. I love the way you open the lipstick as well as it is not a simple lift off lid. You need to push the top of the rose gold part downwards and the lipstick then pops out the bottom and to put it back in you just insert the lipstick into the bottom of the casing and pop it up.

I have been looking for a perfect matte brown lipstick and I feel this is the one for me! Kiko do a range of lipsticks so don't feel put off if the matte isn't for you. As you can see I have used this lipstick quite a bit as the top is rounded but that just goes to show how much I love it! When the lipstick is applied it has a creamy texture so it goes on really smoothly but within seconds it dries to a matte finish. Over the December/January period I used this lipstick pretty much every day it is the perfect autumnal colour and goes with everything!

Like I said the shade I used was 603 but they do many more colours if you feel you wouldn't suit a brown or you fancied more of a vibrant colour. The only downside to this lipstick is the fact you do need to reapply the lipstick quite a bit throughout the day unless you use the trick I use. If my lipstick is one that doesn't last I will put on a face primer on my lips first (probably isn't that great for you but im ok so far!) then I apply the lipstick as I normally would, then I get some setting spray, spray it over a tissue or wipe and dab it onto my lips. The lipstick doesn't come off when dabbing with the setting spray and then it lasts all day! (If you would like a review of my primer and setting spray let me know in the comments.)

The lipstick is called "velvet mat- satin lipstick 603" and is £6.90 so isn't too pricey! I would highly recommend this colour if you wanted a matte brown or even if you wanted a different matte lipstick I would highly recommend Kiko. Thank you for reading, let me know in the comments what you would like me to do a review on:) x

Naked skin foundation.

I thought I would start off my blog with a review of one of my favourite foundations - the Naked Skin Foundation. I ordered this foundation about 2 weeks ago as my mum used it and told me it was really good for her skin, and when it came I couldn't get enough!

You can get this foundation in various shades as you can see, if you are unsure of what shade you think you may be I would recommend going to an Urban Decay concession inside a store such as Debenhams or House Of Fraser and they will try and skin match it for you. Now, this foundation is AMAZING for a number of reasons, first of all it is really good for your skin! I know this is hard to believe because usually make up makes your skin worse, however Urban Decays Naked skin foundation has Vitamin C in among its many ingredients. I have been suffering with bad skin at the moment and this foundation has not only covered my imperfections amazingly but it has also cleared my skin up.

Another amazing thing about this foundation is that it has very good coverage, you only need the tiniest amount and it spreads very easily. The foundation comes out in little droplets and you only need one pump which is the equivalent to a 5p size. I use a foundation sponge and the smallest amount goes very far with this product, which also means it is going to last a very long time! The product goes on very light and you would not feel like you are wearing foundation, once applied it "dries" to a powdery texture however still lasts all day like a foundation and does not give you a cakey look, and gives you a very even finish.

I use the shade 2.0, and as I said before there are many shades, starting at 0.5 which is the same as light ivory in most other foundations and finished with 12.0 which is a very very dark brown. They also go up in .5 if you are in between two shades. From the US website you can order vegan versions of the foundations, however I don't think the UK website do that yet. The foundation is £27.00 which is quite pricey however I feel like it is worth is because it will last FOREVER! I have only been using it for 2 weeks but this is BY-FAR my favourite foundation yet! I will update you when it runs out so you can see how long it really lasts.

-Hope you guys enjoyed my first ever blog post! Let me know by commenting on the blog if there are any products you would like me to review for you before you buy them.
THE PHOTOS USED ARE NOT MY OWN.
